Another Christmas Blessing
Hi; oh. -what a remarkable blessing ...to witness Christmas again—To be a part of the family of God aiid anArmy of new found friends. 11"e should make a jotfid noise to witness this season once more; Our humility and the wisdom of age ...make us gratefid like never before!
Perhaps in our younger years, Christmasjust seemed cool—Getting things we didn't deserve ... and weeks vacated from school. What a joy it was back then to feast, be merry, and play! Now we understand there 'sjoy in living ...with health just one more day!
For so many othersjitst like us. Chrishnas soothes our minds—Partly because we didn't know we'd see it; we've endured uncertain times! Perhaps there were days boardingplanesichile heading to foreign lands ... With uneasy thoughts of deadlv devices ...hidden in foreign sands!
Maybe once in a lifetime of blessings, something nearly took thy life; Or maybe it was an accident ... that really made us think twice! Perhaps it -icas a serious disease that diminished someone -we knew; Maybe that the moment we reali:ed the victim could have been me or you!
What a blessing to understand ... the gifts God gives each day—To know the fortunes and prosperity-we're given ...even when we ,forget to pray. The gift of life, the gift of sanity—"both treasures to appreciate". The gift offtiith, the t of coinpatibiliti—having someone withirhom to relate, The gift of security, and the gift of shelter—the many places where we feel at home, All of these are daily gifts ...from "Our Father" of thy heavenly throne!
Maybe the gift we'll give to others ... is pure sentiment like that of the dove, Or maybe the gifts we'll graciously share ...are our time, affection, and love. Wouldn't it be a marvelous reception ...to show others we really do care? Imagine that gift to have and embrace ...when others trust we 'II always be there!
For those of us who are blessed so completely so many wonders of life, Shouldn'twe be a gift to others ...to help comfort their days and nights? , Can we look inside ourselves ...and show thanks fin- all that we know, And then trust that our gifts of experience andlOsdoin enable prosperity to grow?
I'm so very thankft II for the gifts thiatl have ...from good and Irving times too; My gifts for Christmas are life and health ...and of course. greatfriends like you! "Merry Christmas; share your gifts; and let Mill! render seeds for life-long blessings!
